CSCI 245: CS Lab basics

In hope that this is at least better than nothing, you can look at the first lab from the last time I taught CSCI 235. I'll try to get an updated version available; the two big differences are

• The desktop is now Unity instead of GNOME, and the details are different. But you can see if you can poke around and figure out how to accomplish similar things under Unity.
• Where the old lab suggests running xemacs, run emacs instead.
