Citation policy

This policy has several goals.

• To ensure that you are doing the work of this class yourself rather than getting it from other sources.
• To treat the ideas and other help you do get from other sources analogously to how you use information from sources in a research paper.
• To encourage you to use reputable resources such as the official documentation rather than sites like stackoverflow.

The policy is

On all projects, any help you receive from any source---especially on the web---must be cited except for

• Material from class itself
• The textbook (Bishop, Pattern Recognition and and Machine Learning)
• The official documentation for Python (from http://python.org) and the libraries you're using.

Citation should be given either in a comment in the code or in a separate text file called CITATIONS.
